Everyone must know that a minute consists of sixty seconds. But lately one of the IDT corporations declared that a lot of companies, that provide calling cards, give only 36 seconds instead of 60. IDT in legal procedures against a number of their competitors said that it is hard to contend on a level playing field if a minute is not a minute. Last year IDT/UTA (Union Telecard Alliance) commenced a lawsuit against some companies-providers of prepaid phone cards alleging false advertising and deceptive trade operations.

That is hard to realize, but several dishonest card developers deliver just about 60% of time, which were prepaid for. In November 2007 Total Call International, Inc. and IDT/UTA have obtain a full settlement of the lawsuit delivered by IDT Telecom, Inc. and Union Telecard Alliance, LLC versus Total Call. Before that IDT/UTA started legal procedure against the group of defendants for three times. Epana Networks, Inc., Dollar Phone Corp. and connected companies, and Locus Telecommunications, Inc are also attracted into the trial. IDT/UTA's lawsuit versus the remaining defendants is still persisting in federal court in Newark, New Jersey. Recently, one of softswitch providers made public his advanced terms of paying the telephone services.
