Teamwork
There are three types of person-to-person interactions: conversational, transactional and collaborative.
If you want to make the correct choice with regard to software solution, you have to get to know the differences that are significant between these interactions.
An interaction of conversation is an exchange of data and transactional interaction is transfer of a transaction substance between 2 or more participants, while collaborative interaction is employed for a change of a collaboration entity, ex.: reaching a shared objective.
Interactions of collaboration are structured in such a way that the primary goal of the participants is to modify the collaboration substance from what has been unfixed and intangible, for example, an idea, into a useful solution, for example a design solution.
Collaboration Software
Collaborative software belongs to groupware applications that allow people communicate information and work as a team on projects.
The strong point of these applications is in the ability to allow participants to see action plans, exchange documents, track projects, monitor schedules, optimize business processes, be promptly reminded of any tasks and things they are involved in. You may come across a number of approaches to making these applications useful: moderating events, documents and projects, automating business processes and harmonizing work of two or more business units or even companies.
