Punk started in the 1970's as a offensive, guerilla uprising against common current of popular culture music. Rock ensambles like Green Day, Iggy Pop, and Pere Ubu boosted punk back in 1990. This time the blend of lively, upfront rock music with rhytmic pop melodies hang around on radio and MTV. Today, soi-disant pop punk is the main piece of puzzle in the sphere of mainstream pop music. These 10 albums are fine place to start from to learn punk pop.

1. blink-182 - Enema of the State

In blink-182's inexhaustible attempt to insult all adults in the locality, this record album showed a person clothed as an enema au pair girl on the booklet. The music on the record is adolescent and unforgettable with the massive hit song “Going Away To College.”

2. The Donnas - Spend the Night

Girls can play punk pop, as well, and this song is a profuse evidence of that. The group styled themselves after the rock band Ramones with each performer taking the name Donna. Misery Business Download to compare.

3. Good Charlotte - Young and the Hopeless

Good Charlotte blasted into the top 10 of the pop album chart with this set. It is full with tales of high school and problem mothers. The smashing hit track is “Lifestyles Of the Rich and Famous.”

4. Green Day - Jesus of Suburbia

After retreating from their nineties fleeting surge of popularity, Green Day declined from live performances to mix punk's first rock opera. Though the band was unsure about their fanclub's attitude to American Idiot, it turned out to be an American punk rock classic topping the album chart and winning a Grammy award for Best Punk Album of 2004.

5. The Lemonheads - Ceiling Fan in My Spoon

The Lemonheads' lead singer Evan Griffith Dando is the only punk musician to become a real teen dream-boy. Along the way the band recorded some outstanding songs, too, including “Confetti”, “Download Paramore” and “Rest Assured”.

6. The Offspring - Killboy Powerhead

The Offspring a rock band from Garden Grove, California were one of the original punk revival bands from the middle of nineties. Time and again their songs touched with Blues rock and heavy metal with guitar-and-drums-centered sound, but their most popular music is pure punk. “Session” and “Not the One” are far beyond what is customary on this album.

7. Rancid - Avenues and Alleyways

Rancid a lot like late seventies classic punk as the Clash. They also incorporate the sound of rock punk in almost all of their music.

8. Simple Plan - Still Not Getting Any…

This French Canadian group appeared in the spot in October with their studio album I Won't Be There . This 2nd record album is much better and includes the hit song “Welcome To My Life.”

9. Sum 41 - Summer

The song “All She's Got” helped catapult this album into the top 20. Sum 41 inject clever sense of humor into much of their music. Crushcrushcrush Download to get an impression of what we are talking about.

10. Weezer - Surf Wax America (Blue Album)

Though they are esteemed as grandfathers of the anti-establishment rock music genre, Weezer's records are also true pop punk. “My Name Is Jonas” was their first popular song and then a clip putting the rock band in a TV episode promoted to make the single even bit more popular.
